Make a difference through everyday service
Following Jesus leads us towards love expressed in action. We can serve through ordinary responsibilities, a thoughtful act of kindness or a prepared role within the church.
Notice the people around you
Begin with listening. Ask what help would be useful rather than assuming you know what someone needs. Respect the person's choices and dignity.
Use what you have
Time, attention, practical abilities and resources can all be offered in service. A small contribution made reliably can matter, even when your capacity is limited.
Contribute at ANCC
Ask about roles that are currently available and what they involve. Some roles need training, checks or other preparation before you begin.
Serve responsibly
Keep your commitments realistic and work with the people coordinating an activity. Serving should not require you to ignore family responsibilities, health or appropriate boundaries.
