FAITH, COMMUNITY AND EVERYDAY LIFE

Prayer and pastoral support in Leeds

You can ask ANCC about prayer or a pastoral conversation when you need to talk, explore faith or find an appropriate next step. Ask what support is currently available and what its limits are before sharing detailed personal information.

How do I ask for support?

Use Care or Contact Us and name the kind of conversation you want. Give a safe way to reach you and only the details needed to arrange a response. You can enquire even if you are not currently a church member.

What can pastoral care offer?

Pastoral care can involve listening, prayer and Christian encouragement. Ask who will provide it and how the conversation works. Church care is not automatically professional counselling, medical treatment, legal advice or regulated financial advice.

What about privacy?

Ask who receives your enquiry and how your information will be used. Confidentiality can have safeguarding limits, particularly where someone may be at risk. Read the Privacy Statement and Safeguarding Policy if you want to understand the church’s published arrangements.

Choose the guide that fits your concern

The support resources cover family life, relationships, stress, grief and faith questions. They offer a starting point for reflection and help you decide what kind of support to seek.

If the situation is urgent

A website form is not an emergency service. Seek appropriate urgent help rather than waiting for an email reply. Crisis Help explains that distinction and points towards relevant support.

Questions people ask

Do I have to explain everything in a form?

No. Start with the type of help you want and ask about a safe way to discuss further details.

Can prayer sit alongside professional care?

Yes. Pastoral encouragement can accompany appropriate healthcare and other specialist help.

Does an enquiry guarantee an appointment?
