CHRISTIAN FAITH
Who is the Holy Spirit
Christians believe in one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit draws people to Jesus, lives in believers and helps the church grow in faith and service.
The Spirit points us towards Jesus
In John 14–16, Jesus speaks of the Spirit as helper and teacher. The Spirit's work belongs with the truth of Jesus, not apart from it.
A changed way of living
Galatians 5:22–23 describes the fruit of the Spirit, including love, patience and self-control. Growth in Christian character matters alongside any discussion of spiritual experience.
Gifts for serving others
The New Testament describes gifts given for the good of the church. Read 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12:3–8. Gifts are reasons to serve with humility, not a way to rank a person's importance.
ANCC's expression of faith
ANCC is a non-denominational church with a Spirit-filled expression of Christian faith. Our statement of beliefs explains the church's teaching on the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts.
