SUPPORTING WOMEN’S RIGHTS

Equality for Women

For centuries, women have not been treated equally or shown respect for the tremendous value, skills, and talents they bring to the table throughout history and even today. Women have faced this reality from childhood and have even undergone this quest for equal rights as identities are formed and advanced through various stages of their careers. While our society has made great leaps and bounds in advancing women’s rights, in 2020, according to Pew Research, “women earned just 84% of what men earned”.

ADVANCING WOMEN’S RIGHTS

How You Can Make an Impact

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” – Martin Luther King, Jr. We all have a role to play in how we support and advocate for women’s rights. It starts with our daily conversations and choices. We can choose whether we perpetuate stereotypes or when we speak up for what we believe. Every one of us has a degree of influence that we can use to benefit someone else. We have a choice whether we use that influence for the good of others.
